Your Common Sense Voice In Ottawa
My name is Colin Reynolds, and I am proud to serve as your Member of Parliament for Elmwood–Transcona. My story began in the Valley Gardens area of East Kildonan, where I was raised by two dedicated school teachers who taught me the value of hard work, and community.
After graduating from Kildonan East High School, I married my high school sweetheart, and together we raised three wonderful children. Life came at us very quick and after working as a Printing Press operator, I embarked on my journey towards becoming a construction electrician.
Nineteen years on the tools taught me what it truly means to work hard and build something that lasts. As an apprentice I joined IBEW local 2085, after advancing from apprentice to red seal to foreman I met workers from all walks of life. I later worked in the office as an organizer and was then elected to the role of Vice President of IBEW Local 2085. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges young workers face and I am committed to creating real pathways into the skilled trades so every Canadian has a fair shot at building a rewarding future.
Today, my children have families of their own, blessing me with three grandchildren who inspire my commitment to making our community stronger for generations to come.
We live in a special place, where people look out for one another and lend a hand when it’s needed most. As your representative, I will always be a voice for Elmwood-Transcona's interests and put our community first. I’m dedicated to championing reliable local infrastructure, safe streets, and opportunities that empower Canadians to work hard and provide for their families.
I will remain a strong voice in support of labour rights and for working Canadians because I am one of us, working for all of us.
